A smell proof jar has a lid that creates an airtight seal allowing for no oxygen to escape. Because of this, a drug dog cannot detect cannabis in a smell proof jar. However, if the outside of the jar has come in contact with cannabis, or even secondhand contact, then it is contaminated and detectable by a drug dog. To fully avoid detection by a drug dog by using a smell proof jar, we highly recommend using rubbing alcohol to wipe the outside of the container. Rubbing alcohol breaks down cannabinoids and should be a perfect solution for decontaminating the outside of a smell proof jar from cannabis after filling.
